The Klu Klux Klan

The KKK which stand for Klu Klux Klan was founded in 1866. During that era was when the republican party was fighting for equality for African American citizens which ultimatley lead to the creation of the Klu Klux Klan. After its creation it quickly spread throughout the rest of the southern states like a wild fire. The KKK wanted to restore "white supremacy" and they had some success with the democratic party but ultimatley slowly died out (thankfully). These people are very radical and very uneducated. They started to make a comeback in the 1900's, with the most activity happening in the 1960's when everything was going on with the civil rights movement. The participated in very inhumane activities such as bombing African American schools. These unimaginable acts for the most part are over but sadly, the KKK still exists today promoting white supremacy.
